Thank you very much. One of the greatest soundtracks ever to one of the greatest games.

  2. Michel says:

Thanks for these awesome tracks! Perfect date-night mood music.

  3. Marc says:

Maybe the best video games soundtrack ever (Planescape Torment soundtrack coming second). It provided the game an awesome ambiance.

I can now switch off the music in every games and use this one instead :D

Thank you so much, worth the waiting.

  4. Cenovita says:

Thank you for this download, this is one of the greatest scores from a game in history, i have it in my mobile and i listen to this daily.

Great Work Mark and thank you autalnetwork for the free download.

Nice to see this soundtrack in New Vegas too :)

  5. isoJii says:

I just bumbed into this soundtrack?? What a great piece of computer RPG gaming history this soundtrack has inside. I just wish there were still this good athmospheric music and story writing in PC/Console games. Well, at least we have Fallout: New Vegas nowadays, with all great expansions. Ooh well, good times…

  6. Zelnick says:

I’m waiting for the lossless(and hopefully non-mixed) release.

  7. Oliver says:

Thanks again for the MP3 version…
too bad we can’t have access to the FLAC version .

I’m playing with some friends a real RPG (pen and paper..), Shadowrun with this background music, and surprisingly, it’s a really good “mood” music for it.

I hope that one we will be able to download the FLAC version …
or maybe it’s already “in the pipe” with a future CD version of Fallout new Vegas, from Bethesda ?

  8. Vault Dweller says:

Considering they uncommonly made a good choice by including the old tunes in Fallout: New Vegas, this might’ve changed the picture altogether. Tracks’re now a part of that licensed Bethesda product.
Well, the mp3 album is still up for grabs, I can only wonder if this is really affecting progress on the flac version.

  9. Vegard says:

I listen to this music and enjoy it almost daily, a lossless version would be indescribably positive! I would pay for it so please release it!

And if it exist an 24 bit version of this music I would PAY anything! I love this music so much!

  10. CJ Sneek says:

Why it’s taking so goddamn long time to release lossless version?

  11. Danil says:

    Владислав, ещё раз приветствую!
Есть ли новости о лослесс версии? Или качество материала не позволяет?
И всё же, что там с Beyond the Noise? Хотя бы на какой стадии всё находится?
    Спасибо большое)

  12. Jakov says:

thanks for the free release of this priceless gem. but i gotta point out some things: there’s a strange click on khans of the new california 1:21 in. also desert wind seems to be clipping a lot.

  13. Rikki-tikki-tavi says:

А почему в треках обрезано начало? И будет ли так же обрезан трек в loseless?

  14. Jeyl says:

Glad to see you were able to post this online again.

I do have One question. Do you still plan to have the music in the “Lossless Version” be non-mixed? I kind of miss the original presentation that was present in the original games and other releases. The way each piece started on it’s own and ended on it’s own. The mix tends to throw the mood off when “City Of The Dead” abruptly starts with the soft bells and chimes from “Second Chance”.

  15. mehdi says:

I see no difference between the version currently distributed, and the one before you said “I want to cooperate with Bethesda for official publishing”.
During all this time, the remastered soundtrack was available at NMA website, in a mirror. As mp3 only though. Waiting for the lossless release …

  16. Kavai says:

Огромное спасибо за вашу работу! Очень приятно осознавать, что создан такой проект нашими соотечественниками.

  17. Eddy says:

    Thank You!

  18. josth says:

oh and btw, what’s the frequency cut at around 17-18 kHz? it seems like a band-pass filter, but for what reason?

  19. josth says:

dear aural networks! many thanks for the mp3 release!!

however, i’d like to point it out that the files contain gaps, even though the tracks are continuous (i use foobar2000 for playback, which supports gapless playback). so it’s quite lousy during playback, coz there will be a short, audible skip after every track.

so when you release the lossless verion (i hope it’s gonna take shorther than the mp3 version:P) please release it in a single flac file with a cuesheet, so that there surely won’t be skips.

  20. Richard says:

Thanks for posting this, the music is absolutely incredible — so atmospheric! It adds so much to a wonderful gaming experience.

  21. mehdi says:

Well, sorry if I’m a bit annoying, but may I know what exactly has been improved during the remastering, when compared to a basic rip of game soundtrack ?

    • Aural Network says:

Hello. I use the original waves, not game rips. In this release i use different hardware and software for mastering such as a little bit compression, equalisation, paner and gate on MD3 technologies, also some of original tracks (around 1 or 2) has a little cracks inside, so i remove them. My point for this release is the saving analogue noises and atmospheres, so i save all these stuff.
Then just mix to one epos, because this way in my opinion is very cool for listening.

  22. Andy says:

    Hi!

What about a FLAC version of this masterpiece?

  23. Eddy says:

Any news about when you will be releasing this again?

  24. José Luis says:

    Hello there.
I’m still waiting for the downlad to be available, it has been now like 4 months since i found this, and never be able to download, it will be soon??? please let me know, i really want this soundtrack

  25. Howdy! Great work here, but wondering if it’ll ever see the light of day, again. I’ve gotten the earlier mp3 merged tracks, good for an album to burn to disc, however, the separate tracks would be my preference. All tunes breath out Fallout, yet each one also conveys its own feel.
Have very much liked hearing this music since I first wandered the wastes of post-apoc California, have liked ever since. Been following this project since Summer, just about when the download button greyed out. Don’t let this radioactive master piece fall to oblivion, fellow dwellers.

  26. Nameless One says:

The Fallout tracks seem to be here purely to draw people to the commercial tracks on sale above them.

    • Aural Network says:

Not true. I continue to post the free release also in the future. Some of releases are going to be commercial, but some of releases will be absolutely free.

  27. Anonymous Nuclear Reactor says:

Please don’t let this become the DNF of game soundtracks… Owait, you’re working with Bethesda. Well, I’ll be lucky if I’ll see this released in my lifetime. :(

By the way, there’s a certain band of high frequencies missing altogether from the tracks. Just thought I’d let you know.

  28. Offvi says:

Is this ever going to be available again?

  29. Daniel says:

    • Aural Network says:

Привет. Пока еще все в процессе. Как будет что-либо ближе к релизу я обязательно дам вам знать. Спасибо вам за ваш комментарий.

  30. Ohma says:

Well, good thing they’ve been working with Bethesda for an official release, who knows how long it’d take otherwise. :V

seriously this is getting a bit redonkykong

  31. egor says:

While I have no problem waiting for this most enticing release, it’s extremely misleading when the description states that it is “ready and available via free download.”

    Блин.

  32. josth says:

and why does this page say “ready and available via free download” when it’s NOT? :S

  33. josth says:

m_s0: losslessly splitting a single album+cuesheet to tracks is easy, losslessly merging tracks into a single album is not quite.

  34. josth says:

    i hope it’s not just a scam :(

  35. Joe says:

Will this ever become available for D/L?
    I check once a week and it’s still “Coming Soon” : S

  36. m_s0 says:

So how are things coming along? Will this ever be back up? Is there going to be a lossless release? And most importantly: will there be a version with the tracks separated?

  37. plash says:

Coming coon…? Does this mean that it will be out this year or the next decade? :)

  38. Andrey says:

    Добрый день, Владислав!

Завтра наступит осень. :) Есть ли какие-нибудь новости по этому релизу?

    С уважением, Андрей.

    • DejaVu says:

Общественность заждалась lossless. Надеемся на скорейшее появление данной музыки именно в таком формате. ;)

  39. Andrey says:

Как было сказано ниже – lossless будет осенью.

  40. alex51 says:

блин, почему ссылки то не рабочие?

  41. diamon says:

    coming soon ((((

  42. PiP says:

    Hi,
I’d love to get the lossless version but the download buttons keep being greyed out and inactive.
    What’s wrong?
    Thanks.

  43. Wasteland says:

Any indication of when the files will be available for download again? It’s been “Coming Soon” for way too long!

  44. Andrey says:

    • Aural Network says:

Как только будет готов релиз – он будет у нас :) Пока в процессе.

      Спасибо.

  45. Andrey says:

Hi, Vladislav! Am I right – this music will be available on CD this autumn? What about FLAC version? Is it coming soon or only this autumn too?

  46. Andrey says:

Hi, Vladislav! Can you give an exact release date of this soundtrack?

    • Aural Network says:

Hi Andrey. I think it will be arrive this autumn. Yes, it’s a long time to wait, but this is only one right way for us.
Thank you for you support ! Feedbacks and messages to Mark and Me are really helps!

  47. s61 says:

    Bethesda has killed Fallout.

  48. annoyed says:

    Ugh!

Download link has not been made available “soon”. C’mon! Many people are eagerly waiting for this. Pretty pretty please…

  49. voxel says:

Could someone please torrent this? ;)

  50. Kamiloss says:

When we could download this cool stuff ? :)

  51. Ohma says:

Just in the hopes that I can avoid obsessively checking the download page every morning for a month like I did when it seemed like The Precursors were almost done with the remixes for UQM: Have you heard anything back from Bethesda about them even considering letting you release the FLAC music for FO1/2?

Or has it just been them C&Ding you and then silence?

    • Aural Network says:

We just need a time… All is ok for a moment and work in progress.
      Thank you!

  52. Hello, this is Roland Bangle, just observed your web-site on google and i must say this blog is great.may I quote some of the article found in your website to my local buddies?i am not sure and what you think?in either case,Thank you!

  53. dude says:

    WE WANT FLAC!

  54. Qki says:

The music files stopped working :( . Too bad. Now it says “Files not found” when i try to play it.

  55. Mr.Angry says:

I don’t understand why the link was taken down? Make the download link available, at least until Bethesda says otherwise. So many people got it for free and now the rest of us have to suffer. If Bethesda makes it so we have to pay for this, well then I will lose respect for them.

  56. Ronin says:

    Линки ф студию!)

  57. Macko says:

Hi! First of all, thank you very much for this awesome music. It brings back so much memories.. it is really inspiring and helped me very much while studying the past week.. Unfortunately the tracks on the website doesn’t work for me. I wanted to ask if it’s just me or you all have the same problem and if so, will it be fixed anytime soon? :)

Thanks again for the music and take care.

    • Scato says:

It’s all down until Bethesda gives their OK. Hope it’s sooner than later, the unmixed FLAC sounds really dope.

  58. lordfrikk says:

Thanks to Aural Network who were kind enough to publish this OST for free… I managed to snatch it before you took it down; hopefully it’s coming back soon enough.

I can’t express myself well enough because this is an awesome moment for all us Fallout fans. Your music is one of the key elements that made the game what it was/is and I hope/wish you will be invited to do soundtrack to more games, because your music… enough words, I adore your music!

  59. Xargon says:

    What about the download?

    • Scato says:

      Aural Network says:
      May 12, 2010 at 1:29 pm

It will be available soon. I want to cooperate with Bethesda for official publishing.
Please, be patient and thank you!

  60. Egor says:

Thank you very much for this incredible music. It always inspiring.

…but album picture not so good as it should be for such music (imho)

  61. Ausir says:

A remastered version of the Planescape: Torment soundtrack would be awesome as well.

  62. UncannyGarlic says:

This is some of the best ambient music out there and I’m glad to finally see a high quality release of it, and for free no less! Thanks a lot Mr. Morgan!

  63. Kevin says:

I’d love to have unmixed versions of the tracks. While I like the remixed ambient album version as well, I still like having the standalone tracks without the crossfading. A lossless version would be great too! :-)

thanks for releasing this after so long in any case!

Will you be releasing any other game soundtracks?

  64. Ivan says:

Привет, как скоро вернут линки на скачку, а то у меня только старые записи!

  65. Ausir says:

By the way, there is one Fallout 2 music piece (not counting the intro songs) that was never released on an album – the one in the Tanker video and the outro:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_G9JZ353_Vo
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHGRcdq0x9A

Would it also be possible for it to be released as a track?

  66. damned says:

so, did beth already do a c&d? link down… :(

  67. Jochen says:

thank you so much, one of the best game soundtracks of all time

  68. Joshua says:

Please give us a release that doesn’t blend the tracks into each other. The fact that each track starts now 5 seconds into its piece really doesn’t help the ambient effect of the music. If I’m listening to the work as a whole, this isn’t terrible, but it makes listening to individual tracks less than authentic to the originals.

    • Aural Network says:

I think the lossless will be non-mixed. We will see…
      Thank you for your comment.

  69. BrotherMoozone says:

Nice teasing but nothing to DL…

  70. Davaris says:

Thank you for doing this Mark. Your music brings back great memories, of my all time favorite game.

  71. joe says:

One of my favourite soundtracks. In one word AMAZING, really nice quality!

  72. JaW says:

Agree with Ausir on this. Soundtrack itself is great but can’t be used in game. If you can release one version for replacement in good old Falouts, it would be fantastic. Thanks again for all your work, Mark and others.

  73. ARiS says:

    Awesome!

  74. Ausir says:

Thank you very much! Awesome work. However, while it’s great for listening to it as an album, would it also be possible for you to make a version without crossfading? This way it would be possible to replace the original version in-game with the remastered one.

  75. LiK says:

    Your music is very cool!

  76. k.j. says:

    Mr. Morgan, Vladislav

    Thank you so much.

It’s one of the best ambient albums of all time, period. Or should I say: NOW it is :]

Mr. Morgan your skills are unsurpassed! Fallout OST was actually my first ambient “album” taht I ever listen to. After over 10 years and many many albums (Robert Rich, Lustmord, Phelios, Vangelis, AFX – to name a few) added to my digital collection I still consider this

    one of the very best.

I’ve spend years listening to lo-fi mp3s (travesty…) and now I can (at last!) enjoy this masterpiece in it’s full glory. Thanks again.

  77. tiiiiibo says:

thank you so much mr Morgan

  78. Ronin says:

“PLEASE, WAIT FOR THE UPDATE. DOWNLOAD WILL BE AVAILABLE SOON!”
    What is this?O_o I can’t dowload it :(

    • Aural Network says:

It will be available soon. I want to cooperate with Bethesda for official publishing.
Please, be patient and thank you!

  79. MuMu33 says:

Thanks a lot and wonderful work about the mastering.

  80. Scato says:

I’ll join in on the praise! The ambience and mood those pieces are able to set .. amazing! One more question, though. Is FLAC going to be made available at any time?

  81. larry says:

    thank

  82. Martin says:

Very nice surprise. Thank you. I have been listening regularly to the original OST (ripped from the game). This remastered version is like blessing.

  83. Tycho says:

Thanks, thanks, oh, so many thanks!

Amazing, moody ambient music that’s been imprinted into my memory. Songs like ‘Moribund World’, ‘City of dead’, ‘Khans’, and the incredible ‘All-Clear Signal(vault city)’ and ‘Chrysalis Highwayman’.

It’s of note how, after constantly hearing them in-game, they never got annoying or boring…

  84. Tom says:

Mark you are my hero:) for many years now. Amaizing that fallout OST is still so powerful..

  85. Antignition says:

Mr. Morgan, I have been hoping for this since I played the games I don’t even know how long ago. A big thanks to you and whoever else was involved in bringing this to light. You just made my week.

  86. Andrzej says:

Mr. Morgan, you are a God.
I can’t even count how many times I’ve listened to the original Fallout 1+2 soundtracks, let alone played the game.. THANK YOU!!!

  87. Andrey says:

Mark and Vladislav, thank you for this!!!
Only one question – may be FLAC instead MP3 for this great soundtrack?

  88. PiP says:

Thank you so much. I have long admired this work and it gave me many wonderful hours of listening, not to mention it made the games.. complete. You’re the man.

By the way, I only grabbed the four sample tracks, for the rest it says “PLEASE, WAIT FOR THE UPDATE. DOWNLOAD WILL BE AVAILABLE SOON!” – is this going to be fixed? Thanks.

  89. Mr.GAUSS says:

Hi. Can i download it? I want to listen this music very much but i don’t see a download link :(

  90. Kamiloss says:

When Download will be again available?

  91. Gozer says:

Thank you so much for this, Track 18 – Beyond The Canyon is burned into my memory from Fallout I even had a version on my iPhone.

  92. cobra says:

just incredible, how this masterpiece captures my imagination!
    genius!

  93. scottish says:

they it to be come beautiful days! Thanks!

  95. scott B says:

Wow. Amazing, I cannot thank you enough.

  97. burnside says:

    Thank you very much!

  98. Evan says:

So many good memories. Thank you so much for this!

  99. Tim Lesher says:

    Thank you.

Track 3 haunts me. I’ve never known the name of it, but that one track is what I associate with the Fallout setting.

As I play this collection, I keep expecting to hear the “plink” of the GUI, the “whoosht” of a door, the “BATBATBATBATBAT” of a supermutant ending my game…

  100. Duccini says:

OMFG, thank you so much Mark. You’ve just made my day!!

  101. TheBearPaw says:

Fantastic soundtrack, I love it! Incredible atmosphere! Oh, those classic “Fallout” games… Thank you very much, Mr. Morgan.

  102. ecto says:

classic album, and not only from a game soundtrack perspective

  103. A.T. says:

Amazing! One of the best game soundtracks ever, plus the nostalgia factor makes this album one of my favorite albums of all. Great work. Greetings from Poland and Thank you!

  104. BMB says:

    Thank you, Mark!

  105. Chris says:

Great soundtracks for great games! Thank you so much!

  106. James says:

    Fantastic. Thanks!

  107. Rob G says:

…and the memories come flooding back. What a remarkable gift – I honestly don’t know what to say. Thank you!

  108. The LxR says:

Mr.Morgan, I must say that this is a very generous and hearty gift for all the original Fallout fans. Thank you very much for releasing this!

  109. sghi says:

320 times thank You and Mark Morgan!

  110. turian says:

    epic soundtrack!
beats the shit out of the fallout 3 crap.

  111. Arben says:

Thank you very much! Lot of memories in these songs.. :)

  112. LRN says:

Nice. Track 17 is probably the best (followed closely by track 03).

As a sidenote – this MacOS stuff is really weird, and using iTunes + MP3 wasn’t really the best idea.

  113. Barts says:

    Thanks a lot, Mark!

I just hope Bethseda won’t force you to take it down.

Also, would someone please care to clarify: was Planescape Torment music released for free as well, or was it not?

  114. Vegard says:

Thank you so much! I still regularly listen to the original versions of these tracks so this is truly Superb!!!11!!1!!

    Thank you!!!!

  115. efel says:

One of my favorite game soundtracks. I still remember atmosphere and emotion Fallout music had left inside me after my first contact with Fallout. I’m a musician too, your music had huge impact on my own tracks. Thank you so much for opportunity to experience it again!

  116. Z says:

    Mark -

Really appreciated this – brought back some great memories and passed along to other old fallout fans – keep up the great work and again, many thanks –

    Z

  117. Edvardas says:

    Thanks, guys. Much appreciated.

  118. Riley says:

Love this thank you one of my favorite tracks is dream town…such emotion it sounds like memory’s of a world lost, 164 years looking back…thanks again.

  119. mrk says:

guys thanks very much for that, was waiting for it all those years… much appreciated!

  120. Aurini says:

This is great! I’ve always loved your fallout music, even going so far as to put some of it on my car’s mp3 player.

Thanks so much for making this available!

  121. reg says:

Great work man, you’re my hero.

  122. SidLuscious says:

Thank you very much for this.

To this day, the Fallout music remains my favorite game music ever, and the bar against which all other boring orchestral scores have their faces smashed against.

I detect references and influences such as Brian Eno, Jean-Michel Jarre, and more. Love it.

  123. Roland says:

Thanks for sharing this with us :)

  124. Alex says:

Indeed, I hope very much that you will work with Interplay for their Project V13 together.

  125. JaW says:

Thank You, Morgan. Your music is unforgettable!

  126. mindsedge says:

Dear Mark! Thank you very much! Fallout Soundtrack is absolutely stunning! I dare say, your Opus Magnum (but what do I know :P ). Tis a shame you aren’t working on New Vegas along with the old team from Black Isle Studios (now Obsidian).

  127. HombreGato says:

Still stuck in my head after more than a decade, but now remastered! Thanks Mark!!! You’re tracks will promptly be imported into my Fallout: New Vegas playthroughs.

  128. Alex says:

Dear Mark, thank you very much! I am a huge fan of your music. I read the interview where you promised to release such a remastered version – and here it is! You are a true master. =)

  129. Vaidas says:

Simply two thumbs up for the music and for re-release. Enjoy everyone, it’s a classic. Fallout wouldn’t be what it is without M. Morgan’s ambient.

  130. David says:

A fantastic release, thanks a lot. The only thing that prevents me from calling it a masterpiece are the gaps between the tracks. With a lot of them trying to establish an ambient mood and seamlessly flowing into each other, it’s a bit of a distraction. But otherwise – best presentation of Morgan’s Fallout scores I’ve heard so far.

  131. Sam says:

    Great music. Thank you.

  132. Joakim says:

Thank you so much. This is a great soundtrack. Thank you so much again.

  133. Aural Network says:

Thank you Andrey. Enjoy the music.

  134. Andrey says:

Thank you, Mark! This is great gift for all your fans! I wait this day 7 years. Thank you!

  135. Aural Network says:

Im just the russian guy. Sorry about that…
